The Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) invites applications for the position of Project Coordinator. This position reports to the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The ideal candidate for the Project Coordinator position will develop and maintain uniform processes within OFA that ensure smooth workflows related to the strategic objectives of the office.

Candidates must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent judgment, and organizational skills, a keen ability to pay attention to deals, and intermediate technological competencies. Experience in higher education or a professional development industry, familiarity with event planning, and office management.

Examples of Duties

  • Works closely with the Associate Provost and the Director for Faculty Development to plan, develop, implement, manage, review, and evaluate customized professional development workshops, seminars, training, and other programs and activities.
  • Assist in setting up a broad range of delivery methods for professional development and using the most current technologies.
  • Aid in the execution of short workshops and semester(s) long programs.
  • Help arrange for speakers and speakers to include contracts and payment coordination.
  • Regular office duties – answering phones, responding to emails, keeping files organized, ordering supplies, etc.
  • Manage and maintain the Associate Provost’s calendar
  • Completing travel arrangements and reimbursements.
  • Drafting correspondence from the Office of Faculty Affairs.
  • Manage multiple email accounts.
  • Managing graduate assistance activities when necessary.
  • Prepare surveys and forms to collect data.
  • Collaborate with others across campus to plan the logistics and market events and programs, as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Competent in the areas of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Forms and other survey applications, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to read policies and procedures and make decisions based on an accurate understanding.
  • Flexibility in handling shifting priorities.
  • Able to interact effectively and diplomatically with stakeholders across the university.
  • Ability to treat sensitive information confidentially.
  • Capable of providing excellent customer service in written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or high school diploma or GED and six years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience

Preferred Hiring Requirements:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience in higher education preferred
