Position Summary The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is a multi-division department within the UNM School of Medicine. We provide excellent, innovative education to residents, medical students, and health professionals; the highest quality mental health care to the citizens of New Mexico; and pursue outstanding multidisciplinary research that helps solve important health problems. 
Headquartered in Domenici Hall on UNM North Campus, our Center for Psychiatric Research teams have conducted high quality research on a wide range of disorders for more than 25 years. Our faculty all have specialized experience in various fields of psychiatry. The Center’s purpose is to carry out studies that contribute to and enhance our understanding of mental illness. This includes research that may influence best clinical practices for the treatment of these disorders. Our research areas currently include psychotic disorders, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), and psychiatric neuromodulation. Each has dedicated faculty members, research coordinators, and statisticians.  
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to work in a fast-paced clinical research setting and under direct supervision, provide intermediate professional level support in areas of system/data analysis and design techniques to analyze and evaluate study data for multiple neuromodulation/neuroimaging studies. This position will help to facilitate definition of user requirements and implement and maintain custom applications and system integrations. Duties include: Gathers information; defines work requirements; develops complete program specifications; analyzes applications and applies upgrades; and develops and maintains documentation. Position writes, tests, and troubleshoots code of moderately advanced complexity for review by senior level technical staff and provides technical guidance on implementing and maintaining applications.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 6 months of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of EEGLAB, Psychtoolbox, and SIMNIBS software
