Position Summary

Under direct supervision of the GIS Manager. Responsible for the timely completion of project deliverables including but not limited to: the preparation of mapping documents, data formatting, and performing advanced GIS analysis. Using GIS tools, geometry types and spatial relationships, the successful candidate will perform advanced geoprocessing for analysis, data management, application development and automation.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 6 months of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Applies GIS content expertise and basic GIS system analysis and design techniques to produce innovative solutions, applications, models and maps to meet client objectives
  • Writes, tests, and troubleshoots beginning GIS code for review by senior level technical staff
  • Gathers information and contributes to definition of program requirements and proposal development
  • Assist in developing and implementing applications or systems
  • Maintains established GIS applications using defined procedures.
  • Ability to design, manage and edit GIS data for multiple projects
  • Ensures alignment of data with organization standards
  • Monitors and applies the best geospatial industry practices
  • Maintains data integrity and accuracy
  • Utilizes ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, or ArcGIS Online in data visualization
  • Develops sustainable systems of collecting and managing geospatial data points
  • Delivers training and technical support to end-users
