The Program Specialist acts as a visible face and voice in the implementation, operations, and communication of The Kerry Murphy Healey Center for Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Specifically leads the Undergraduate Badge and Graduate Intensity Track, student-facing events, and is responsible for deepening student engagement on entrepreneurial leadership in healthcare; developing additional opportunities for student engagement; and maintaining student programs via grant writing and other forms of fundraising
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Establish and lead the Center’s Badging/Tracks (Undergraduate) and Intensity Track (Graduate) Efforts, including completing forms, organizing meetings with relevant departments, setting up Canvas sites and Folio tracking systems
- Works with Associate Director to secure undergraduate and graduate program funding and manage donor relationships
- Leads programming/events connected to Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship (e.g., Speaker Series, Senior Fellows, Student Case Competitions, advisory board meetings, Back to Babson Breakfast, Global Health Week Event, and Entrepreneurship Week Signature Event).Creates and processes invoices, suppliers, contracts, purchase orders; creates surveys, QR codes; orders supplies; on behalf of the Center
- Leads the selection process of the KMH Center Senior Fellows, with input from the Associate Director of the Kerry Murphy Healey Center for Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship
- Leads the monthly Senior Fellows Meetings with students
- Deepens student engagement on entrepreneurial leadership in healthcare. Specifically, collaborates with other campus departments and student organizations to execute programming as relevant; serves as principal connector for semi-annual events with the Graduate and Undergraduate Centers for Career Development (CCD) and Babson Miami
- Works closely with the Associate Director of the Kerry Murphy Healey Center for Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship to create and support new opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students in the health fields with local and international organizations.
- Meets semi-annually with KMH Center Affiliate Faculty to share opportunities for involvement and gather new ideas
- Updates relevant courses and other opportunities for faculty involvement each semester
- Manage various miscellaneous tasks including scheduling meetings, recording and organizing minutes; planning travel and events; managing the program’s institutional memory; assisting in managing the Fund budget and payments to third parties; and creating marketing materials (brochures, flyers, newsletters, etc.).
- Assumes additional responsibilities as required
WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 2-4years of experience
- Experience working in higher education, startups, entrepreneurial organizations, and/or health organizations
- Demonstrated strategic growth and/or program development experience
- Outstanding organization & project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently
- Strong analytical skills, with an ability to manage and communicate metric data with an eye toward driving results
- Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish credibility and confidence with stakeholders at all levels
- Creative problem-solving and innovation skills. Strong marketing and customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal formats.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants
- Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide colleagues from across the campus and throughout diverse entrepreneurial eco-systems when necessary
- Demonstrated effectiveness in working with a diverse student body, faculty, staff, as well as external stakeholders
- Adaptive to change in a dynamic, startup-like environment

HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK
