ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
The Lawton and Rhea Chiles Center for Healthy Mothers and Babies is the first choice in the nation for maternal and child health research, education and service for scholars, practitioners, policymakers, advocates, families, and students. The Center houses a variety of projects researching maternal and child health. The Center employs faculty, staff and students.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Florida Covering Kids & Families Team is composed of sixteen staff members that conducts outreach for Florida KidCare and the Affordable Care Act. The primary focus for this position is to assist the Evaluator in managing and processing ongoing monthly data in both the Chipra Ill and the ACA grant. In addition, this position will compile data for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports to contracted partners overseeing state agencies. Incumbent will also fulfill Navigator duties via providing outreach to uninsured community residents and assisting consumers in applying for affordable health coverage.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will identify and provide mobile access to assist uninsured consumers; complete Navigator required training; fulfill all duties of the Navigator as outlined in the FOA. Collaborate in writing manuscripts and/or publications. Works with financial administrative staff to ensure appropriate maintenance of budget.
Assist Evaluator in collecting and analyzing the Children's Health Insurance Program, Florida KidCare, application information and compiling monthly determination output reports for reporting to state agencies.
Assist Evaluator in collecting and analyzing enrollment & assistance data and compiling quantitative/qualitative data for reporting to CMS and project partners.
Assist Evaluator in organizing and analyzing collected data gathered before and after submission to the state of Florida. Update determinations, summarize findings, create reports (including charts and graphs) for Chipra partners and state agencies, and maintain databases of information.
Assist the Evaluator in compiling and analyzing monthly and quarterly enrollment renewal data from each of the initiatives proposed in this grant as well as compile quantitative data for reporting to CMS and project partners.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the program responsibilities and two years of professional experience; or Master's degree in an area of specialization appropriate for the program.

FLSB1310 equivalency:
Four years of directly related experience can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
Six years of directly related experience can be substituted for a Master's degree.


PREFERRED:
Experience analyzing data and preparing reports. Experience working with CMS and/or grant funded entities. 

OTHER:

This position requires travel, including overnight, to different parts of the state and requires a valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation.
