  • You are key member of the Accounting Team, working very closely with the UWM Accounts Payable and Procurement Teams as well as the UW Accounts Payable Team
  • You possess the technical expertise for navigating GHX, Workday, OnBase and Brainware systems as well as the analytical skills for determining and resolving  issues which may be causing invoice matching to fail
  • Your major accountabilities include collaboration across our entity operations, our service providers and our vendors, to effect process improvement with minimal disruption in service or quality
  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    a shared service unit within UW Medicine which includes supporting the following entities: UW Medical Center (UWMC), UW Medical Shared Services (UWMSS), Harborview (HMC), Airlift Northwest (ALNW), UWM Primary Care (UWMPC), and UW Physicians (UWP).  At present, UWMSS encompasses a UWM ITS entity as well as various shared health system service departments, including but not limited to, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Revenue Cycle, etc.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position requires a deep knowledge of all expenditure cycle processes, including Procurement, Accounts Payable, Sales and Use Tax requirements as well as related supporting Accounts Payable master files
  •   Running various reports in Workday, GHX, OnBase/Brainware and/or Excel to perform follow up, analysis and status.  Where needed, requesting, designing and/or maintaining reporting tools.  Running Excel pivot tables, complex lookups and sorts on data
  • Liaising effectively with UW Supplier Admin for vendor additions and updates
  • Troubleshooting and performing follow-up, research and resolution to correct and clear issues (receiving, pricing, taxability, account coding, approvals, etc.) preventing invoices from matching or paying
  • Processing invoices adjustments, credits or corrections where appropriate and as authorized
  • Reviewing, researching and correcting taxability issues on purchases

  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related field
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience
  •   Minimum of 2 to 3 years Accounts Payable processing, electronic invoice processing and AP customer service experience
  • Very strong Excel, Word and other business software skills.  Ability to sort, filter, create pivot tables, perform vlookups and xlookups is required
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills are required
