Scope of Position

The Department of Volunteer Services is responsible for monitoring and enhancing the patient experience, which includes managing the Volunteer program and service quality improvement initiatives within the organization.

Position Summary

The Program Manager is responsible for the daily coordination and management of the college and adult volunteer programs at Ohio State Wexner Medical Center and working alongside and collaboratively with Volunteer Services at The James, including satellite facilities. The Manager coordinates and trains all new volunteers and ensures appropriate coverage. The Manager also assists the Associate Director in monitoring and supporting existing programs, planning, developing, and implementing new volunteer programs, recognition events, and volunteer promotion and recruitment within the Medical Center and the community.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in business, communications, or related area. Master’s degree in health care preferred. Minimum 7-10 years professional experience, preferably in the health care industry or related field. Ability to work in matrix environment and provide team leadership across reporting and departmental lines.
