Program Manager, Music & Health Institute

Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of the Berklee Music and Health Institute, the Program Manager will directly contribute to the operations and execution of multiple projects and programs within Berklee’s Music and Health Institute. This will include managing, coordinating and marketing of events, social media and digital media platforms, and multiple projects/initiatives for the Music and Health Institute that advance the mission. We are looking for someone who is passionate about music and health, healthcare innovation, and making an impact. The Program Manger must be comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders, including partners in the healthcare, technology, public health, and government sectors, and have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of three on campus days per a week.


Responsibilities:

  • Manages and directs all phases of Institute initiatives and projects, including creating and communicating timelines and tasks, tracking progress, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring that goals are accomplished within established budget parameters.
  • Oversees and facilitates project team meetings, preparing status reports and documents throughout the project(s) to keep key stakeholders apprised of progress.
  • Manages the day to day operations of the Institute to include budget management and daily communications with the internal/external community
  • Oversees scheduling and operational logistics for all Institute events and projects.
  • Manages the marketing of news and initiatives for the Institute, including overseeing web and social media presence
  • Manages the database of internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintains communications with Institute partners through quarterly newsletters
  • Hires, trains and supervises student employees

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of program management experience with demonstrated solution oriented outcomes
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to set and manage multiple, rapidly changing priorities and task deadlines in a timely fashion
  • Ability to handle sensitive or highly confidential issues and various demands and needs of college and external stakeholders in senior positions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with high level administrators and partners from across industries
  • Exceptional and concise writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team-oriented environment, creatively, under minimal supervision
  • Experience with content creation and managing social media platforms
  • Strong command of technology to support work including project management tools and software applications, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Eventbrite and Mailchimp
