Position Summary:

Responsible for administratively managing a large or complex University program or multiple programs. Provides input in the development of program plan and objectives with responsibility for achieving objectives within defined parameters. Typically supervises small staffs and are responsible for long range planning. Responsibilities include budgeting, networking/public relations, technical training and assistance, grant and report writing. May handle regulatory responsibilities, contract submissions and identify research funding. May handle event planning and oversight of construction projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fellowship Program: Performs administrative tasks including helping PD with operational activities and ensures program's goals and objectives are accomplished; attends coordinator meetings, conferences, and trainings sessions to provide feedback to PD and applies current information to daily work routine; credentialing support for graduating fellows and fellowship applications; maintain application materials and credentialing records; coordinates the collecting and storing of program data and manages
  • MedHub; liaison with national accrediting bodies, the GME Office, other UAB entities and various agencies and prepares a variety of documentation associated with the fellowship program operations.
  • Division conferences: Performs administrative tasks to support the division conferences that includes scheduling, emailing correspondence, personnel services forms, payment requests, catering orders, and maintaining CME applications for weekly conferences. In addition this position will be responsible for coordinating Division's annual scientific symposia and clinical education conferences that involve UAB and regional attendees.
  • Clinical reporting: Performs administrative tasks to support clinical operations that includes attending clinical meetings, follow up with action items, and reporting of monthly wRVU numbers to clinical faculty.
  • Faculty Recruitment assistance: Performs administrative tasks as needed for faculty recruitment that includes scheduling, attending meetings, coordinating recruit's visit (hotel, travel, itinerary, etc). proofreading correspondence, etc.
  • Special projects: Performs administrative tasks as assigned by the division director and/or division administrator that includes farewell/retirement celebrations; division jackets; fellowship and division Welcome Videos for the website; temporary telecommuting agreements; faculty gender equity reviews; faculty salary letters; ACR Division Director's Survey; Endowments/Emeritus packets; CAMBAC Symposium, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Salary Range: $51,270 - $83,300

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
