PROGRAM MANAGER I

 

University of Alabama at Birmingham

 

 

This position will aid the education mission of the Department of Cell, Developmental Integrative Biology through the administrative support of the department teaching faculty and teaching program.

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities

 

General admin/clerical:

  • performs standard clerical and administrative duties
  • receives, screens and routes calls for department
  • greets visitors and directs them appropriately
  • schedules appointments and maintains calendars
  • may run errands, fax, sort and distribute departmental mail, copy, scan and input materials for department
  • Reads, prioritizes, and routes incoming mail.

Purchasing:

  • initiates, prepares, and processes administrative documents including, but not limited to, purchase orders, payment request, P-card orders, pre-event approval, conference registration, contracts, and other business documents
  • Assists with textbook orders and classroom requests for department
  • Makes travel arrangements and reservations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Systems Software - proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programs.

Salary Range:  $41,175 -$52,000

 

Qualifications

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • And two (2) years of related experience required
  • Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement
