Job Overview
With direction from the Administrative Director for Education, the Program Manager is responsible for managing the implementing the day-to-day the student/trainee recruitment and tracking, administrative interactions between the Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS) and the TWD, KL2, and CTLR degree programs of GHUCCTS.
They liaise with faculty and staff of all GHUCCTS components; and provide administrative support to the GHUCCTS TWD/KL2 Director, Co-Director, and the GHUCCTS Educational Program, which includes playing a key role in supporting faculty and students in the Master’s for Clinical and Translational Science degree programs.
The Program Manager also provides assistance to faculty, scholars and trainees.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 3 years academic administration experience, preferably in the higher-education sector
- Extensive experience in the management, planning, and support of daily operational and technical functions
- Skilled in using various software applications [Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, REDCap, Slate, Cognos, Banner, Canvas, Zoom (both meeting and webinar), as well as research-related database (PubMed, NIH RePORTER)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
- Ability to prioritize work load, multitask, successfully handle difficult situations
- Ability to interact with both senior leadership and general constituency within a diverse environment
Preferred qualificatio ns
- Program coordination experience in a higher-education setting
- Knowledge of Canvas and Banner
