Responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing all facets of the SIU School of
Medicine's ThinkFirst Injury Prevention Program, ensuring a proactive Injury Prevention
Program at SIU School of Medicine. Collaborates with necessary internal and external
resources to secure funding for the program and demonstrate state-of-the-art injury prevention
and control activities locally, regionally, and nationally. Collaborates with the SIU School of
Medicine Departments, the Illinois Department of Transportation, and other regional/national
groups, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of
Neurosurgeons, to ensure that specific contracts are followed and each organization's
objectives are met satisfactorily.
