The Program Coordinator for Outreach leads the execution, analysis, planning, control and evaluation of engagement and event efforts; builds strategic relationships within the community; conducts a variety of outreach activities.

What you need to know

Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Four years of experience in strategic partnership building with corporations, foundations, community organizations or other such entities, or related areas.

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and presentation communication skills

  • High level attention to detail and organization skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience writing grant proposals.

Responsibilities:

Relationship Development:

  • Creates an annual engagement plan that is in alignment with the school’s strategic plan.

  • Conducts activities related to establishing and managing annual campaigns and related events.

  • Supports and grows special events and third-party opportunities.

  • Develops and directs a program for identifying and engaging of individuals, businesses, and foundations for funding opportunities.

  • Writes funding applications and proposals.

  • Develops and executes a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy that aligns with the school’s mission and objectives.

  • Manages a timely and appropriate relationship management and acknowledgement system.

  • Maintains accurate records and provides regular reports on goals in the engagement plan..

  • Collaborates with others to create new and expanded programs.

  • Plans, implements and evaluates programs.

  • Assists in establishing goals, objectives, policies and procedures.

Community Outreach and Education:

  • Creates an annual outreach plan

  • Develops and updates training materials and delivers training.

  • Develops plan to recruit, train, and utilize volunteers.

  • Attends relevant community meetings; participate in relevant councils and committees.

  • Schedules outreach presentations in the community and communicates with staff regarding coverage and responsibilities.

  • Develops a consistent presentation outline.

  • Develops outreach communications, materials, and packets.

  • Maintains relationships with collaborative partners and cultivate new ones.

  • Assists in the coordination of special events.
