Job Summary
The Community and Economic Development Initiative of Kentucky (CEDIK) seeks a highly qualified individual to join our leadership team as a Program Coordinator. CEDIK is a unit in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment with faculty and staff in several academic departments; however, this position will be focused on economic development. CEDIK works closely with Cooperative Extension and with community organizations on projects that foster community and economic development in the state. CEDIK’s scope of work covers the land grant mission of the University; research, extension, and instruction. CEDIK’s extension programming is supported through competitive grant funding as well as contracts awarded by organizations and communities within Kentucky. This individual would be responsible for coordinating two projects funded by the Environmental Protection Agency designed to provide technical assistance to support environmental justice education and programming and building vibrant, healthy places. This individual will facilitate community input sessions, educate the community on planning process, prepare reports, presentations, and any other artifacts needed to support community programming. In addition, this individual will provide support to CEDIK’s Brownfield technical assistance program.
Education/experience: a Bachelors’ Degree in public health, community development, or a related field is required. Individual is expected to have at least 2 years of experience facilitating community conversations and/or leading outreach programs.
KSAs: MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint experience required. Program delivery, program development, and writing experience preferred.
Must be organized, able to prioritize work, and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Must work well as a team player, and perform well under deadlines.

Coordinates established processes to ensure that programs are carried out as designed.
