Assists the Directors for the Center for Humanities in an Urban Environment and Liberal Studies with the day to day operations that includes coordinating financials and expenses related to travel and reimbursement for the programs. Works with College of Arts, Science, and Education (CASE) event manager to coordinate events, create and maintain files for Liberal Studies (LS) majors. Works closely with CASE Communications team to design promotional materials for on-campus events. Maintains calendars, schedules meetings, answers phones, and responds to student queries.

  • Works with the College's Special Events Manager with coordinating events / events planning, including but not limited to: scheduling, coordinating travel, creating and maintaining budgets, coordinating activities across units, contacting guests, etc.
  • Serves Liaison with the CASE Communications team in creating graphic design and assist with promotional materials for events, on-campus engagement initiatives, poster/flyers for small lectures/events, etc.
  • Coordinates financials / expenses, travel, reimbursement, and responsible for running budget reports, approve charges with PeopleSoft Financials.
  • Assists Director with operations, including facilitating meetings with Humanities units on campus, including Wolfsonian and units in CASE, CARTA, and SIPA, liaising with Postdoc and Faculty Fellow on issues of scheduling; attend events
  • Maintains calendar and schedules the Director's meetings. Attends advisory board meetings.
  • Under minimal supervision, manages the day-to-day operations for the Liberal Studies program:
  • Answers the phone and, when necessary, directs callers to the appropriate person or department
  • Analyzes the needs of the office in terms of equipment and materials; orders, monitors, and inventories supplies, furniture, computers, keys, telephones etc.
  • Creates and maintains files for undergraduate majors and minors.
  • Monitors and maintains program's webpage in close coordination with the CASE Content Strategist.
  • Investigates student registration issues, using PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
  • Plans, prioritizes and schedules office meetings/activities, appointments and assists with special events planning; prepares agendas and materials for meeting
  • Assists in the travel, hotel and other logistical support for the Department's BOG Report.
  • Serves as the University's credit card user for departmental transactions. Adheres to University's credit card policies and procedures.

 

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience.

$40,000-$45,000
