The St. Elmo Brady STEM Academy Program Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations and development of the prestigious program, dedicated to advancing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education among minority students. The incumbent plays a pivotal role in coordinating activities, fostering collaboration, and enhancing program effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, resource management, and troubleshooting.
- Lead weekly staff meetings to ensure effective communication and support among team members.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and refine STEM curriculum aligned with educational standards.
- Manage program supplies and inventory to ensure smooth functioning and resource efficiency.
- Conduct professional development training sessions to enhance staff expertise in STEM education.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local schools and organizations to enrich program engagement.
- Foster collaboration with teachers, schools, professors, and departments to support STEM education.
- Collect, analyze, and organize research data to inform program improvements and decision-making.
- Plan and coordinate an annual STEM showcase to highlight student achievements and projects.
- Collaborate with the parent liaison to enhance parent engagement and involvement in the program.
Qualifications
High school and No experience
Education: Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED. Experience: No experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in program coordination or management, preferably in STEM education.
- Strong knowledge of STEM curriculum development and best practices.
- Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and utilization for decision-making. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
