Position Summary

The UNM College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is currently recruiting an undergraduate student to work with the leadership team of the New Mexico Integrative Science Program Incorporating Research in Environmental Sciences (NM-INSPIRES). The NM-INSPIRES student Program Assistant will work 10-28 hours per week under the direct supervision of the Senior Program Manager. This position will assist with administrative, graphic design, newsletters, and other communications. Other duties include assisting with data entry and data management, maintaining files, scheduling & setting up/breaking down for events and seminars, greeting participants, survey development, and taking notes. He/she will work closely with the Senior Program Manager, the Program Coordinator of the Community Engagement Core (CEC), and other key personnel.

 This position requires the ability to create professionally worded documents, including written correspondence, emails, and explanatory directions. Special projects and other duties may be assigned as needed.

 Duties, Skills, and Responsibilities:

  •  Ability to provide a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proofreading and editing skills.
  • Provide customer service and assist with the planning and execution of events.
  • Ability to effectively communication and work in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to manage priorities through effective time and calendar management.
  • Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Work on independent projects as discussed by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with event planning.
  • Prior administrative experience.
  • Prior experience with data entry and data management.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Qualtrics and Smartsheet experience highly desired.
