South Dakota State University (SDSU) is seeking a self-motivated and organized individual to join our Testing Center team!
 
Job Responsibilities: The purpose of this position is to support the mission of the Testing Center by assisting individuals in reaching their academic and professional goals by providing a secure, friendly, and comfortable environment where exams are administered, proctored, and scored with integrity.
 
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
Knowledge of:  
  • Test administration and proctoring.
  • BOR policy and guidelines regarding testing and prior learning credit
  • Computer applications and systems
  • Or experience working with individuals who require special accommodations in a testing/educational setting.

 
Skill & Ability to:  
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure high level of confidentiality.
  • Create a stress free, calm testing atmosphere and monitor students while testing.
  • Recognize individuals cheating or attempting to remove testing property.
  • Efficiently resolve technology issues
  • Ensure computer-based tests are secure and work properly for multiple test requirements.
  • Interpret, comprehend, apply and/or explain policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Accurately record, file, and transmit information.
  • Prioritize work to meet competing deadlines.

 
Required License:  Certification from Pearson VUE Select, Meazure, Praxis, Prov, CLEP, ACCUPLACER, ATI or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
 
Comments: Exceptional communication, technology and customer service skills are essential. This position is not available to students. SDSU is a tobacco free environment.
