The Program Administrator in the College in High School Program is responsible for coordinating a portfolio of CHS courses, participating in internal and external outreach efforts, and contributing to the development of CHS processes and policies. The academic administration responsibilities include ensuring successful partnerships by managing all support operations for a set of CHS courses, developing and maintaining curricular knowledge for the courses, monitoring, recording, and acting on teacher fulfillment of CHS responsibilities, recommending academic policies to University faculty, facilitating relationships and providing assistance to University faculty and high school teachers, planning and managing yearly teacher professional development meetings. 



Job Summary

Executes the daily activities for an assigned program area, section, or special interest group. Manages administrative tasks and logistics. Conceives and implements co-curricular programs to include budgetary preparations and evaluations.


Essential Functions 

Ability to manage projects and supervise delegated workload. Must command excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in support of a diverse community. Must have expert verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a larger team. Must be willing to serve as back-up within the functional team environment. Must be flexible, adaptable, and willing to assume responsibility. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.


Physical Effort 

Primarily sedentary and must have the ability to attend designated events as a representative of the University.
