Position Summary/Purpose of Position: | The primary purpose of this position is to accurately process payments to over 800 Non-Resident Alien (NRA) employees receiving tax treaties and Independent Contractor/Fellows in both a timely and efficient manner for USM System Institutions. NRA payments have unique requirements. Additional knowledge of international payments, tax policies, procedures, and laws are needed. The position duties include:
This position serves as a liaison to the Central Payroll Bureau (CPB), all USM System Institutions on all matters as they relate to wages and/or payments (as appropriate) made to NRA employees and Independent Contractors/Fellows. |
Minimum Qualifications: | Education: Bachelor’s Degree. Experience: Four years experience in administrative staff work. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Other: Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience. |
