Job Description:
Syracuse University Department of Physics seeks outstanding candidates for the inaugural Walters Chair in the field of Quantum Information Science. Successful candidates will lead a new interdisciplinary research center in quantum information science, a joint effort of the Department of Physics in the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. We seek senior candidates with an established record of research excellence with expertise in either theoretical or experimental physics. Candidates must have demonstrated leadership ability to build a thriving group of interdisciplinary researchers at Syracuse University and take advantage of historic opportunities in the region including collaborations with Rome Air Force Research Laboratory.
