Description

 

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Biomedical Engineering is accepting applications for a full-time Associate Professor to Professor level. 


This is a tenure track position.  Academic rank at the time of appointment is commensurate with experience and credentials.


This position will have a joint appointment in the Department of Genetics, Genomics, and Informatics and serve as Associate Director of the Center for Integrative and Translational Genomics (CITG).


 



Qualifications

 

The candidate must maintain an active research laboratory, pursue extramural funding, and publish in the area of systems Genetics of Skeletal Development and Maintenance.


Must have a history of collaborative efforts, mentoring, strong publications, and extramural research support to qualify for the rank of Professor.  Successful candidates are expected to be terminally credentialed (i.e., Ph.D., MD, or equivalent) from an accredited institution of higher education. Candidates should have demonstrated the potential for establishing an independent research program.
