Professor of Business

Position Summary

The professor delivers courses at the highest quality, demonstrates model leadership, fosters a positive learning environment, fulfills departmental duties and contributes to the university's mission and strategic goals. In addition to other duties and responsibilities required in the faculty handbook and the employment agreement, a professor teaches courses/contact hours as determined by their credentials, university needs and a signed employment agreement. The university, in its sole discretion, may assign the professor to a teaching or non-teaching position as stipulated in the employment agreement.

Duties and responsibilities

• % - Essential Duties & Responsibilities:The college's primary objective is to provide educational opportunities of excellent quality to its students within a professional environment wherein knowledge, creativity, discipline and character are developed. Therefore, the teaching activities and other assigned duties and the personal conduct of the professor shall be supportive of this purpose and of the policies and philosophy of the college. The professor is required to render professional services at those times and places determined by the college. The professor must be available to attend on campus events upon request or as required including those sponsored by the admission department, institutional advancement or other publicity assignments. Minimum Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Terminal degree in related discipline. Teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred. Experience or knowledge of related industries. Ability to be credentialed through SACS guidelines or justified to teach.
