Job Description

The University of Houston College of Pharmacy Department of Pharmacological and Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Medicinal Chemistry at the Professor level. The University of Houston is a Carnegie-designated Tier 1 public research university and also a member institution of the world-renowned Texas Medical Center which houses major academic research programs in cancer, cardiovascular diseases, genetics, and neuroscience with a major focus on translational research. The successful candidate will be provided lab space and a start-up package commensurate with their qualifications. Department faculty members teach in the Pharm.D. professional program and also participate in departmental Ph.D. programs in Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics. The search is focused on adding expertise in any area of medicinal chemistry.

Department faculty members teach in the Pharm.D. professional program and also participate in departmental Ph.D. programs in Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics. Minimum Qualifications

Earned doctoral degree, academic experience and a track record for establishing and maintaining an excellent extramurally-funded research program.
