Professor and Endowed Chair, Director, Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program                                                                            

Cancer Center, Froedtert Health Network & Medical College of Wisconsin 

The Froedtert and Medical College of Wisconsin (F&MCW) Cancer Center is seeking applications for Director of its Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program. The successful physician scientist candidate will be expected to develop, implement, and lead strategic growth of the Breast Cancer Research Program and the multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Clinical Program. This will include developing innovative, coordinated patient care programs across the spectrum of breast diseases and integrating these with the robust clinical and translational research initiatives of the Cancer Center. In addition to an Endowed Chair, this position comes with a competitive start-up package. Candidates with a strong research and clinical background in Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology or Medical Oncology are encouraged to apply.

The Cancer Center is simultaneously investing $100M in five parallel research initiatives that include Immuno-Oncology, Metabolomics, Structural & Chemical Biology, Precision Oncology, and Community-driven Research. This endowed leadership position will help build these major cross-disciplinary research initiatives and integrate them with the Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program. The Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program Director will also assume a senior leadership role at the MCW Cancer Center.

Cancer is the top strategic priority of F&MCW as the inpatient and outpatient market share leader in cancer care in our catchment area of Eastern Wisconsin. The Cancer Service Line delivers high-quality cancer care to over 5,000 unique new patients annually and follow-up care. All network oncology sites are NAPBC accredited. Services include ACR-accredited Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence with fellowship-trained breast imaging radiologists, genetic counseling, and high-risk assessment programs as well as robust supportive care and social services. The Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program Director is expected to significantly expand the breast cancer clinical trial portfolio, building on the existing foundation of a core multidisciplinary team, a precision oncology clinic, an early phase unit, an expanding clinical trials office, and a National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN) Lead Academic Participating Sites (LAPS) grant.

Position Requirements:

Qualified candidates must have a MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree, hold advanced associate or full professor rank, and have accomplishments in research, graduate-level teaching, and scholarship commensurate with an endowed chair.  

The qualified candidate will have an outstanding record of research accomplishments and is expected to have and maintain a vigorous, innovative, extramural and/or clinical trial funded research program.
