Description | The School of Arts and Humanities (SAH) in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is searching for a motivated, experienced individual to join our team as a Production Studio and Digital Arts Equipment Coordinator. The coordinator plays a central role in ensuring the effective operation of the video production studio and its accompanying facilities, including the digital arts studios. Expected pay is $53,000. Total compensation is $69,881 to $83,673, depending on which medical and dental plans are selected. Responsibilities | Key responsibilities for this position include maintaining, organizing, and troubleshooting various audio/visual equipment, setting up and configuring equipment for teaching and studio productions, offering trainings and/or workshops as appropriate, and providing technical support to production teams (mainly faculty and students). In addition, the coordinator oversees the purchase of equipment, scheduling and allocation of studio space and equipment, and other tasks to facilitate efficient production workflows. The coordinator may be assigned to teach up to one course per semester. |
Qualifications | A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts in film/video production or a related field (Master of Arts (MA) or Master of Fine Arts (MFA) preferred), plus at least 3 years of experience in video production or related fields, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired, is required. Candidates with relevant college teaching experience are desirable. In addition, candidates knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, DaVinci Resolve, and other industry-standard software and editing tools, as well as proficiency in operating and troubleshooting audiovisual equipment (cameras, lighting, and sound systems) are desired. Excellent organizational and time management skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a production environment are also necessary. |
