Organizational Unit Overview

Job Duties
The primary purpose of the position of the Production Services Coordinator in the Department of Student Life is to serve as the production coordinator for the technical setups and layouts of events and meetings including but not limited to setting up and using sound systems and other sound related equipment, stage lights, executing stage light plots, working with sound and light boards, work with and setting up desktop and laptop computers and other related computer equipment, LCD projectors and the necessary software to perform functions associated with the scheduled events and meetings. The coordinator will be proficient in working with sound and stage light related equipment, computer and LCD projector equipment. The coordinator will be proficient in interpreting and executing technical riders related to contracted events. The coordinator position will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the outdoor video board of the main campus student including, but not limited to managing the content display schedule, The Production Services Coordinator will assist in overseeing productions and events, which are scheduled for the facilities by the Central Reservations Office. These events include programs sponsored by the Department of Student Life, other university departments, and non-university organizations. The Production Services Coordinator will also train, schedule and supervise student technicians.
Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in theatre arts, and demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Minimum 3 years experience interpreting and executing technical riders that come with entertainment contracts and proficient in executing the requests from the technical riders, proficient in working with and using sound and stage light related equipment including sound and light boards, stage lights, and setting up and executing stage light plots per the technical rider. Proficient in working with, using and setting up desktop and laptop computers and LCD projectors for meetings and events.
