Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated postdoctoral trainee to conduct experiments in team environment on NIH-funded project that includes in vivo electrophysiology, reward-learning tasks, binge-like ethanol exposure, optogenetic manipulations, complex behavioral and statistical analysis, stereotaxic surgery and ethanol self-administration in rats. The post-doc will be actively involved with writing scientific papers and grant proposals, training students, and other duties.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience or a closely related field
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Strong laboratory, communication, and analytical skill are required.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Our preferred candidate will have proficiency in rodent behavioral pharmacology paradigms. Other ideal expertise includes rodent neuropharmacology, sex differences, addictive drug pharmacology, and learning and memory paradigms. Demonstration of proficiency in these techniques through peer-reviewed publications is ideal.
