Job Summary
The University of Kentucky is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Neuro- and Integrative- physiology. The research project involves a multidisciplinary approach in mice and in vitro models to study integrative physiology of glucose and energy balance. Self-motivation, passion and dedication for science; organizational skills; excellent interpersonal, verbal and written English skills are essential for this position.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
In vivo physiology in mice or rats: 2 years (required). Basic Research Laboratory Experience, mouse models: 1 year (required)
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
PhD and/or MD in a related field and at least one first-author publication in a peer reviewed journal to be considered for this position. Moreover, research experience in cell and molecular biology, and in vivo metabolism. Basic research laboratory experience, mouse models.
