The Ohio State University Department of Astronomy seeks a postdoctoral scholar to work with Professor Christopher Kochanek on time domain astrophysics projects related to massive stars and active galactic nuclei.

Qualifications: A doctoral degree in Astronomy, Astrophysics or related area required by time of hire. Experience in theoretical analyses and modeling of astronomical data desired.


Additional Information:

The Ohio State University is a full member of the SDSS-V collaboration and has access to the Large Binocular Telescope and MDM Observatory. Postdoctoral scholars have access to both SDSS-V data and telescope time.  We seek candidates who will contribute to and benefit from the highly interactive environment of Ohio State Astronomy.

The target hiring range is $55,000-$65,000. The actual salary will fall within this range based on internal equity, the candidate's qualifications and available funding. The position is for up to 3 years depending on performance and the availability of funding.
