Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Sexual Violence Research

The Kinsey Institute at Indiana University, Bloomington, is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Founded in 1947, the Kinsey Institute is the world’s premier sexological research institute, dedicated to promoting and fostering greater understanding of human sexuality and relationships through groundbreaking research, outreach, education, and historical preservation. The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will work on collaborative interdisciplinary research in the laboratory of Dr. Zoë Peterson (Director of the Kinsey Institute Sexual Assault Research Initative & Professor of Counseling and Educational Psychology). The postdoc will conduct collaborative research focused on sexual violence, including (1) sexual violence perpetration, (2) sexual violence victimization, (3) measurement in sexual violence research, and/or (4) sexual violence prevention.
The postdoc will be a 12-month appointment with an annual stipend of $54,000, and up to $5,000 per year in research and professional development expenses (e.g., conferences, workshops, professional travel), health benefits effective the first day of employment, computer equipment, office and laboratory space at the Kinsey Institute, and administrative support. The position is funded for 2-years, subject to a positive performance review after the first year.
The positions can begin as soon as July 2024 and no later than the end of September 2024. For best consideration apply by March 01, 2024.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will have no formal teaching responsibilities but may be asked to deliver a guest lecture based on their research program.

Basic Qualifications
Postdoctoral Research Fellows are expected to be in residence for the year and to participate fully in the intellectual life of the Kinsey Institute. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent and be no more than five years past the Ph.D.
Candidates must demonstrate methodological facility in behavioral sciences, have content expertise in sexuality and sexual violence, and display a clear commitment to collaborative and interdisciplinary research. The candidate should have experience conducting quantitative analyses and an interest in grant writing.
