What We Want
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will work under the direction of Professor Jean-Luc Guermond to coordinate and analyze research pertaining to the topic of magnetohydrodynamics flow. What You Need to Know
Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate’s education and experience.

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Appropriate Ph.D. in Physics or related field


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of TAMU systems and processes for research

  • Ability to organize work effectively and prioritize objectives with a high level of discretion and independent judgment and initiative

  • Knowledge of numerical and mathematical analysis.

  • Ability to collaboratively and cooperatively work in research with others

  • Interpersonal and communication skills

  • Planning and organization skills.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • More than six months of research assistant experience with Texas A&M University systems


Responsibilities:

  • RESEARCH: Coordinates the scheduling of mathematics research on magnetohydrodynamics flow. Works under direction of the professor overseeing the research project. Develops procedures, monitors timelines, and identifies issues. Publish results through professional outlets.

  • REPORTING: Prepares reports and database queries on select Texas A&M systems pertaining to research conducted about magnetohydrodynamics flow and

  • performs other duties as assigned.
