Job Description

Position Summary

A biologist position is available immediately. Projects involve preclinical and clinical validating molecular imaging contrast agents for predicting, staging diseases, monitoring the progress of disease, and therapeutic efficacy of diseases using different strategies. The candidate will write progress reports quarterly to PIs and complete research manuscripts for publishing. The successful candidate will have access to state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and departmental core facilities for molecular imaging, as well as to the great research community in one of the top medical schools in the USA.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, pathology, oncology, neuroscience, or pharmacology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Energetic and highly motivated.
  • Hands-on experience with pharmacology, biochemistry, immunoassay, immunohistochemistry staining, molecular imaging, animal and radioactive material handling.
  • Good skills with anatomic tissue dissection.
  • Strong communication skills, analytical abilities and a dedicated willingness for multi-tasks are highly preferred.

Working Conditions

This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals. Willing to handle radioactive materials and process related samples for biological evaluation in vivo and in vitro.

Salary Range

Base pay is commensurate with experience.
