Position Highlights

A main purpose of this position is to help the Personalized Treatment Lab launch its digital therapy ecosystem and coaching program. The role will also involve supporting existing projects, and helping the lab grow its portfolio of research. The individual will support the PI in data analysis, publication, grant writing, and mentorship of lab members. Finally, the role will involve helping with instruction and supervision of clinical trainees.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Launch of Rain frog Digital Therapy Ecosystem: Using their expertise with CBT, peer-coach training/supervision, & digital therapy, the postdoc will assist with the launch of the digital therapy ecosystem & will lead the adaptation & implementation of the peer-to-peer digital therapy coaching program at the University of Arizona (could include the undergrad PSY 469 course or an independent training program). Will require expertise in developing program protocols, training materials, & evaluation frameworks to ensure the program's effectiveness & feasibility for launch w the UA student & other relevant populations.
  • Grant acquisition support: Expertise in identifying grant opportunities and leading the preparation and submission of grant applications to secure funding for the lab 
  • Analysis and Publication: Assist with and lead data analyses and preparation and submissions of scientific manuscripts.
  • Supervision of lab projects: Help oversee ongoing studies in the lab by assisting with supervision of graduate students, research assistants (RAs)/project coordinators, and undergraduate RAs.
  • Instruction & Supervision of Clinical Trainees: postdoc will assist Professors Cohen & Jacquart with instruction and supervision of clinical trainees via graduate student courses 604a & 604b

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of digital mental health interventions and peer coaching programs and experience with peer coaching program development and evaluation
  • Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., Stata, SPSS, Mplus)
  • Knowledge of and experience with provision of cognitive behavioral therapies for a variety of clinical concerns including: depression, anxiety, trauma, and sleep
Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD from an accredited (PCSAS or APA) clinical psychology program upon hire.
  • Experience providing research mentorship to undergraduates, post-baccalaureate researchers, and graduate students.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision to lay providers and doctoral students.
  • Experience writing and submitting grants with demonstrated success receiving research grants.
