Position Highlights | A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Won Hee Lee in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix. The Lee lab is stably funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, state, and institutional funding.
One of the main goals of the Lee lab is to use a combination of patient-specific human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), primary human cells/tissues, along with animal models, to develop a platform for the evaluation of cardiovascular toxicity associated with environmental exposure or cancer drug. We are currently seeking a candidate to lead a new research program on how tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) induce cardiotoxicity. Experience working in cardiovascular research, stem cell biology, or animal models of cardiac disease is desirable. This position is eligible for visa sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications | Ideal candidates should have experience working in two or more of the following areas: 1) stem cell biology/chemical biology 2) epigenetics/epitranscriptomics 3) sequencing techniques e.g. ChIP-Seq, MeRIP-seq, and CLIP-seq 4) genomics or bioinformatics 5) gene-editing techniques including CRISPR |
