Summary
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Guangde Jiang, Ph.D., focusing on biocatalysis and protein engineering. The primary research objective is to explore enzymes from diverse origins to discover novel biocatalysts for synthesizing pharmaceutically relevant compounds and to create structural diversity of small molecules for drug discovery.
Qualifications
Required
- A Ph.D. in biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, organic chemistry, molecular biology, or related disciplines.
- Skills in enzyme expression, purification, and characterization.
- Skills in protein engineering.
- Skills in enzymatic reactions for various types of enzymes.
Preferred
- Experience with enzyme immobilization.
- Skills in performing anticancer or antimicrobial assays.
