Position Summary
The Crinetics/ACPHS-CBET Postdoctoral Fellow of Mechanistic Biology will work within a group focused on GPCR targets linked to unmet needs in endocrine disease, endocrine related cancers, and metabolic diseases. They will also participate in the translational efforts aimed at characterizing therapeutic targets by investigating the mechanisms of action of new molecules using in vitro and ex vivo cellular models.

Required Qualifications
  • PhD in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related field.
  • Laboratory expertise pertaining to biochemistry, cell, and molecular biology, including tissue culture of mammalian, immortalized and primary cells, development of ex-vivo models, transfection in mammalian cells, gene and protein expression, assay development and optimization as well as familiarity with multiplex assays.
  • Experience in any of the following: immunohistochemistry and GPCR cell biology and/or pharmacology, is a plus.
  • Experience utilizing the following software: Windows, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), GraphPad Prism or equivalent statistical and graphing software.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in utilizing equipment such as PC, scanners, voice mail and e-mail systems, and common office machines, or ability to be trained.
  • Knowledge of other equipment required: standard biology lab equipment (microplate readers, laboratory automation, plate washer, Licor system, QuantStudio 7 Pro, Luminex system, etc.)
  • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills, including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent record-keeping skills and excellent written and oral communication capabilities
  • Willingness to gain experience in new techniques as required.
  • The candidate must be highly motivated, capable of working independently with minimal supervision but also in a collaborative environment and be able to respond to changing priorities and short lead times.

Position Salary Range 66,560 annually
