A self-motivated postdoctoral fellow position is available in the lab hosted by Dr. Zuoming Sun, a distinguished professor in T cell immunology at the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope. This position is to participate in NIH-funded research on the mechanisms responsible for regulating T cell activation and differentiation.

Fellows in this lab receive excellent training in publishing high-quality papers. The following are representative publications: Nature Immunology (PMID: 28846085); Nature Communications (PMID: 30451821), Science advances (PMID: 35704583, PMID: 36269826); PNAS (PMID: 37094160, PMID: 29282318); Cancer Immunol Research (PMID: 37540802). Former trainees from this program currently hold independent positions in medical schools in both the US and China, as well as in prominent pharmaceutical companies. Additionally, fellows in the lab benefit from the freedom and independence to pursue their research goals.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Be responsible for conducting experimental approaches involving molecular biology, tissue culture, and mouse models.
  • Be expected to be able to independently conduct research, and collaboration is encouraged.
