Position Summary
The Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is looking for a talented Postdoctoral Fellow. Our research topics are closely related to the development of drugs for treatment of autoimmunity. The recent postdoctoral fellows from this lab were recruited by pharmaceutical companies such as Eli Lilly and academic institutions as faculty. Experimental approaches require the candidate to be familiar with basic immunology knowledge as well as techniques for the manipulation of T cells.
This laboratory is located at the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope, a NIH-designated comprehensive cancer center with state-of-the-art facilities and friendly environments. Our institute is located within the greater Los Angeles area, where you will enjoy the diversity of culture and lifestyle in warm southern California.
This role will require 10% travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis of T cell activation and differentiation
- Perform RNA-seq and ChIP-seq analysis of transcription factor-regulated gene expression.
- Handle mouse model of autoimmunity
- Perform regular tissue culture and molecular biology experiments.
- Perform computer-based analysis of high throughput sequence data.
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
- A Ph.D. degree in life or biomedical sciences, or a related discipline is required.
- Candidate shall have publication records to demonstrate the academic excellence in research.
