Position Summary
This is a grant funded opportunity with a specific focus on complications arising due to the presence of bacterial biofilms in surgical implants working with the Department of surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
The Laboratory of Dr. Mithun Sinha in the Department of Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to conduct bench experiments, animal-based assays and surgeries. The post doc will participate in data analysis, contribute to writing manuscripts and grants, and disseminate the research outcomes in regional and national conferences. The Sinha Lab focuses on complications arising due to the presence of bacterial biofilms. The work funded through National Institutes of Health research grants. Basic Qualifications
• Must have a terminal or doctoral degree (PhD) in Biological Sciences (Immunology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, etc.)
• Experience in molecular immunology will be preferable
• Must be willing to work with animals.
• Must have good written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently or with very limited supervision.
• Must be able to multitask and show interest in contributing to several projects ongoing in the lab.
