Position Description
We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in AI, deep learning and neuroscience. We expect the postdoc to be able to work independently and contribute intellectually to broader research themes and directions in the lab, but specifically to the development of our virtual rodent platform for simulating behavior in biomechanically realistic models.
The starting date for this one-year, term appointment is February 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. The appointment may be extended for up to three years, contingent on demonstrated success and continued availability of funding.
Situated in the Harvard University, the Olveczky Lab investigates the neural basis of compex behaviors using rodents as our model organisms. We are part of Harvard’s Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology and the Center for Brain Science.
Basic Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. degree in Neuroscience, Computer science or related areas;
  • Hands-on experience with, or a strong interest in scientific programming;
  • Fluency in English written and oral communication.
