A post-doctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Manoj M. Pillai (http://medicine.yale.edu/lab/pillai/index.aspx), Section of Hematology at Yale Cancer Center and Dept. of Medicine, Yale School of Medicine. The laboratory focuses broadly on regulation of hematopoiesis with specific emphasis on RNA mechanisms of its regulation. The ideal candidate will be familiar with general molecular biology techniques (PCR, cloning and preparation of next generation libraries, viral vector preparation), protein chemistry (Western, sample prep for Mass-Spec) and general hematology-related techniques such as tissue culture and flow-cytometry. Candidates who are not proficient in all of the above, but eager to learn and adapt techniques are also welcome to apply.
