Position Description
The Schiffer electrochemical engineering laboratory at Harvard University invites applications for a postdoctoral position at the interface of fundamental electrochemistry and applied reactor design, beginning in January 2024, or soon thereafter. The position is for one year, renewable for two additional years. The candidate will work closely with Professor Zachary Schiffer as he sets up his new lab at Harvard starting in January 2024. Basic Qualifications
PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, engineering, physics, or similar fields by the expected start date
Additional Qualifications
Applicant should ideally have some experience in a chemistry wet lab, as most of the experiments will be done in a chemistry lab involving organic solvents, ovens, etc. We particularly encourage applicants with expertise in electrochemistry and reactor design. A successful candidate is driven and independent, as the lab will be brand new, and the candidate will be responsible for helping the PI to start new projects and help mentor new graduate and undergraduate students.
