Job Summary | The College of Medicine is accepting applications for two (2) Postdoctoral Fellow positions. Major Track The Fellow’s primary role will be to provide Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) services in one or more of five Departments/Programs including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Addiction Medicine, or Infection Disease. This role includes addressing a broad spectrum of behavioral health needs with the aim of early identification, quick resolution, long-term prevention, and wellness. This position involves a high degree of clinical complexity and advanced level skill in establishing BHC services and delivering evidence-based interventions targeted to improve the well-being of a variety of patients across the lifespan. The Fellow functions as a core member of the care team and works within established workflow practices and procedures with minimal supervision. All sites are resident training programs, so Fellows will provide classroom-based and in vivo teaching/training for a wide range of interprofessional learners. Work is reviewed for adherence to procedures, regulations, and standards and for overall effectiveness. Minor Track In addition to this primary role, the Fellow may elect one or more “minor tracks” to include a range of clinical, teaching/ training, research, policy/advocacy, or program development foci during their training. Minor track opportunities will vary from year to year, depending on activities within the Institute and applicant interest. Leadership and Program Development The Fellow has dedicated time to engage in leadership and program development opportunities, supervision, lectures, and individual study.
