Title: Postdoctoral Associate - Mass Spectrometry/Metabolomics/Proteomics
Division: Pharmacology and Chemical Biology
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Work Location: Houston, TX
Salary Range: Hiring upto $53,760
FLSA Status: Exempt
Requisition ID: 9149
Summary
A joint postdoc position is available in Drs. Meng Wang and Jin Wang’s groups at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM). BCM is located in the world largest medical center and has access to enormous biomedical resources.
Dr. Meng Wang is a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Investigator and Robert C. Fyfe Endowed Professor in the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics and Huffington Center on Aging at Baylor College of Medicine. The research goals in Dr. Meng Wang’s lab are to advance our knowledge on the fundamental mechanisms of organism aging, lipid metabolism and reproductive senescence. These intertwined biological processes exert profound influence on human health and are the major risk factors for various chronic and degenerative diseases. Her laboratory has been studying the molecular mechanisms governing these key biological processes and their complex interrelationship, by harnessing the power of functional genomics in Caenorhabditis elegans with metabolomics/lipodomics, chemical engineering and optical biophysics.
