Title: Post-DoctoralResearch Associate in Global Cancer Epidemiology

Position Description: 

The Department of Population Health Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine invites applications for a Research Associate in global cancer epidemiology. Our program utilizes theoretical frameworks and methods from social and molecular epidemiology to investigate health disparities across the cancer prevention continuum in the US and abroad. Ongoing projects involve collaborative studies to generate scientific evidence aimed at understanding and addressing the fundamental causes of cancer disparities.

The Research Associate will work in a vibrant,team-based and diverse environment to provide scientific input for day-to-day research activities such as proposal and manuscript development, statistical analysis, project management, and engaging with other data analysts, students, post-docs and faculty on the team.

The appointment is for a year and will a potential to be renewed for another year based on performance and funding.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctoral qualification in epidemiology, statistics, public health, or a closely related field with 2+ years practical research experience preferred. Master’s degree with at least 3 years of research experience will also be considered. The ideal candidate will have strong background in epidemiologic methods, formal training in cancer, and a strong interest/experience in global health research.
