Job Description:
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering seeks a Postdoc Research Associate to develop and apply technology to create in vitro models of physiological microenvironments by recapitulating cellular spatial arrangement at high throughput and high resolution. Lines of investigation will involve the pancreatic tumor microenvironment and the bone marrow microenvironment as a metastatic site for prostate cancer. The postdoctoral fellow will also develop assays to validate these in vitro models and to use them to study open questions in cancer research.


Required Minimum Qualifications:

Doctoral degree
 


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience conducting research in cancer research, molecular and cellular biology assays, cell culture, DNA and/or RNA sequencing, immunostaining, fluorescence in situ hybridization, animal work, and microscopy.

Experience in protocol and manuscript development and in grant writing.

Experience mentoring graduate and undergraduate students
