Postdoc: Non-Equilibrium Magnetic Materials

Updated: 1 day ago
Location: Berkeley, CALIFORNIA

Description of the offer :

Lawrence Berkeley National Lab’s (LBNL) has an opening for a Material Sciences Postdoctoral Fellow to join the team. In this exciting role, you will be part of the Non-Equilibrium Magnetic Materials (NEMM) program, aiming to advancing the fundamental science of non-equilibrium magnetic materials and phenomena in thin-film materials with strong spin-orbit interactions in the presence of interfacially induced or local inversion-symmetry breaking. You will work with a highly interactive and dynamic team, and carry out research activities combining the design, fabrication, measurement, and modeling of static and dynamic magnetic properties of thin film materials exhibiting strong spin-orbit interactions and inversion symmetry breaking due to interfaces or local structure, particularly the dynamics and thermodynamics of spin accumulation, skyrmions and spin textures.
