Post doctoral research associate to pursue auditory neuroscience training and experience under the guidance of Dr. Ruili Xie in his laboratory within the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University; conducts NIH-funded research on neural mechanisms of hearing loss at both the peripheral (cochlea) and the central (cochlear nucleus) levels of the auditory system using various mouse models. The postdoctoral research associate will help with data collection, analysis of results, research presentation at conferences, manuscript preparation for journal publication, and grant proposal development.
Minimum Education Required
Doctorate (Academic) or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in Neuroscience, Biomedical Science or other related fields.
Required Qualifications
The applicant should be motivated, independent, productive and a team player. Experience in electrophysiology and animal research is highly desired. This position requires successful completion of a background check. Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
