Conducts research, field studies, and surveys to determine the prevalence and distribution of azole resistant A. fumigatus in environments across Ohio and determine the mechanism(s) of azole-resistance.

Minimum Education Required

PhD in Plant Pathology, Microbiology, or related discipline.

Required experience

Required experience includes handling of microbial cultures, and molecular expertise (such as DNA/RNA extraction and PCR) and nucleic acid sequence data analysis; knowledge and application of SAS, R and/or other statistical packages; a high level of time management and organizational skills; Travel to environments across Ohio is required. The position is located in Wooster, Ohio.
